To support our growing operations, we are seeking a highly organized and dependable Production Assistant who will play a key role in coordinating permits, managing customer communications, overseeing job logistics, and handling essential administrative functions that keep projects running efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit permit applications with local jurisdictions.
- Track permit status and ensure all approvals are obtained before project start.
- Maintain communication with customers regarding project timelines, updates, and requirements.
- Coordinate job-site logistics, including utility locates, inspections, and service scheduling.
- Process customer payments and maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with bookkeeping and administrative reporting.
- Manage warranty requests and follow-up activities.
- Review and work with plat maps, site plans, and permit documentation.
- Relay information between homeowners, project managers, crews, and subcontractors.
- Support production activities for deck and porch projects and assist with replacement window and door projects as needed.
- Maintain organized project records using company software and spreadsheets.
Qualifications
- Experience in construction administration, production coordination, permitting, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of permit submission processes and local building requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret plat maps and project documentation.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer software.
- Experience using CRM systems is preferred but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable handling payments and maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel locally, including occasional drives of up to 1.5 hours for permit-related tasks.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Construction industry experience is strongly preferred, and a working knowledge of permits, inspections, and project coordination will set you apart.
