Production Control Coordinator

Job Title: Production Control Coordinator

Job Summary: The Production Control Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and monitoring workflow throughout the repair process to ensure customer commitments, production schedules, and operational objectives are met. This position serves as a liaison between Operations, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Technical Records, and Customer Service to facilitate the timely movement of work orders through the MRO process.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with multiple departments in a fast-paced aviation maintenance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and monitor production schedules to ensure repairs are completed within established turnaround times (TAT).
  • Track work orders from induction through final delivery.
  • Review production status and identify potential delays or bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Materials, and Technical Records to resolve workflow issues.
  • Maintain accurate production schedules and status reports.
  • Monitor labor hours and production milestones to ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Update customers and internal stakeholders regarding repair status as required.
  • Coordinate material availability and outside service activities to support production schedules.
  • Attend daily production meetings and provide status updates on assigned work scopes.
  • Ensure work order documentation is complete and accurate throughout the repair process.
  • Assist with prioritization of customer requirements and expedite critical repairs.
  • Generate and maintain production metrics, KPI reports, and performance tracking data.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and reduce turnaround times.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s Degree in Business, Aviation Management, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Production Control, Planning, Operations Coordination, Supply Chain, or related functions.
  • Aviation MRO experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working within FAA Part 145 environments is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of production planning and workflow management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with ERP/MRO software systems preferred.
  • Ability to analyze production data and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of aircraft engine, component, or accessory repair processes.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations and aviation maintenance documentation.
  • Experience with production scheduling software and KPI reporting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work in both office and shop environments as needed.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and shift as operationally required.

Work Environment:

This position operates primarily within an aircraft maintenance, repair and operations environment with exposure to aircraft noise, chemicals, moving equipment, elevated work platforms, and varying weather or temperatures conditions.

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
