Duties
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, align with demand forecasts and inventory levels.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, supply chain, and plant management teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components for assembly processes.
- Monitor production progress daily, adjusting plans proactively to address bottlenecks or delays, utilizing MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools for optimal resource allocation.
- Analyze supply chain data and manufacturing metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement, lean manufacturing initiatives, and waste reduction.
- Collaborate on continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing process efficiency, quality control, and overall plant performance.
- Manage inventory levels through precise scheduling to support just-in-time manufacturing principles while minimizing excess stock.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production plans, schedules, and adjustments, ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years experience in production management, manufacturing operations, or supply chain planning within a plant environment.
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems; familiarity with MRP modules is essential.
- Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles, process improvement methodologies, and quality control practices.
- Mechanical knowledge or background in sheet metal manufacturing and assembly processes is highly desirable to facilitate effective planning.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret supply chain analytics and operational data for strategic decision-making.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate across multiple departments and foster teamwork in a fast-paced setting.
