Production Control & Planning Manager

Location: Denver, CO | Schedule: Full-Time, On-Site

We are seeking an experienced Production Control & Planning Manager to oversee all production planning, scheduling, and material control activities. This position ensures that customer requirements are met on time, production resources are optimized, and inventory levels are managed efficiently — all while driving process excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead production planning and scheduling by developing and maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS), balancing capacity, materials, and labor to meet customer demand.
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure accurate ERP data to support timely procurement and efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Partner with plant leadership to identify cost-reduction and efficiency opportunities across production, procurement, and scheduling functions.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting procedures.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing planning and scheduling team, fostering communication, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), implement process improvements, and lead Lean or Six Sigma initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (MBA a plus).
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations, including at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and improving production efficiency.
  • Financial acumen and a results-driven mindset.

Pay: $87,550.00 - $118,450.00 per year
