SUMMARY:
The Production Control Specialist will administer controls over Production Control Operations and foster teamwork to drive continuous improvement in scheduling and sequencing processes, inventory control and handling, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities include planning and coordinating the resources and activities necessary to produce high-quality products for our customers on schedule. The position also participates in establishing systems, procedures, and standards to continually exceed customer expectations by identifying necessary improvements that ensure a very high degree of capability and maximize productivity and efficiency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Leads in the administration of controls in PC Operations
- Drives continuous improvement of scheduling and sequencing processes
- Establishes and monitors metrics for system performance management
- Prioritizes and sequences work, executing work plans and implementing controls
- Coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials
- Reports activity results and provides feedback on performance.
- Compiles reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.
- Develop techniques for establishing and controlling scheduling processes.
- Develops and executes continuous improvement plans for the control and handling of inventories.
- Plans and coordinates material flow from internal and external supplies to and from the facility
- Perform administrative activities
- Other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. The administration office environment is typically quiet, with a moderate noise level; however, this position may occasionally require employees to visit the manufacturing environment, which has a high noise level and necessitates the use of hearing protection.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. However, we prefer the following:
- Able to work rotating shifts (if deemed necessary for business purposes)
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required)
- Automotive management systems experience
- Three years of direct experience in Production Control
- Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Access), TMS (Transportation Management System), and WMS (Warehouse Management System).
- Toyota automotive supplier experience preferred
- Metal stamping experience
- Familiar with 4S activity
