Summary: Responsible for creating, maintaining, and communicating production schedules in a multi-system production scheduling system for multiple work centers to meet customer demands and company goals. Reviewing capacities of labor and equipment against production demand to maintain optimal production. Ability to work in fast paced evolving work environment takes a proactive approach towards continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Reviews production priorities, staffing needs, and machine constraints to establish detailed schedule by work center.*

2. Distributes production plan to work centers and adjusts schedules to ensure work flow meets internal and external customer current and future demands.*

3. Interface with production, shipping, purchasing, quality, and sales departments to meet customer requirements and ship dates.*

4. Maintains awareness of production output by work centers as needed to relay accurate information in a near real time basis to related parties as warranted.*

5. Monitor and manage inventory levels and optimize manufacturing efficiencies through effective capacity planning.

6. Communicates observed deficiencies in processes and suggests solutions to minimize or eliminate non value activities.

7. Identifies and/or cooperates with efforts related to opportunities for efficiency, utilization, and productivity improvements.*

8. Supports positive employee relationships at all level of the organization through daily, open, and direct communication while encouraging creativity and innovation.*

9. Extensive use of Microsoft Excel is needed to update various load charts and reports*

10. Ability to work independently to analyze data and to make decisions rapidly.*

11. Performs other duties as requested by your manager.*

Qualifications:

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and ERP.

Education/Experience:

· Associate degree in business or similar discipline OR the equivalent combination of education & experience is preferred

  • 2 years of Scheduling Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Specialized Training:

Lean or Green Belt Six Sigma training a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:

· Practical knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes and equipment

· High level of written and oral communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
