Summary: Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, the Production Resources Manager is responsible for scheduling the production of Company products to meet customer delivery requirements.
Education/Equivalent: Education equivalent to a high school diploma is required and some college is preferred.
Work Experience Needed: 5 years’ scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Knowledge/Special Skills/Abilities Needed:
- Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with customers, public, employees, staff, management etc.
- Basic computer skills: excel, word and PP. ERP experience a plus (Odyssey)
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Must possess basic mathematic skills.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Nature & Scope-Principal Areas of Responsibilities:

- Responsible for maintaining On-Time Delivery goal (>90%)
- Enters daily production (Odyssey).
- Acknowledges all new customer orders that have been entered by order entry.
- Responsible for creating requisitions for outside cores.
- Maintains weekly mold schedule (mold schedule by week).
- Communicates with customers and provides order and delivery information as needed.
- Leader of weekly Stop Meetings.
- Manage shipment of products to customers and outside vendors.
- Coordinate product flow to ensure OTD.
- Participates in daily scrap meetings.
- Identify areas for improvement
