Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented candidate to train as a Dental Technician-Model Technician to join our team. This entry-level position offers comprehensive training for individuals interested in developing a career in dental fabrication and laboratory work. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in dental sciences, possess excellent manual dexterity, and have a keen eye for precision. As a Dental Technician / Model Technician, you will support the creation of dental prosthetics, models, and appliances under the supervision of experienced professionals, contributing to high-quality patient care and laboratory excellence.

Job Details

• Work Schedule: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
• Wage: $19.00 per hour to train. Wage negotiable with related prior experience.

Responsibilities

• Read handwritten doctor prescriptions.
• By hand, mix specified amounts of various types of stone material with water to form compounds used for dental model preparation.
• Pour liquified stone material into preformed dental impressions.
• Grind, drill, pin, and cut working models using hand tools and small, electric equipment.
• Set models into occlusion and attach models to an articulation device.

Qualifications

• Proficient with reading handwritten English.
• High school diploma or equivalent minimum.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail essential for precise model fabrication and appliance creation.
• Experience working with hand tools such as a dremel, drill, saw, grinders, or similar equipment preferred.
• Able to grasp and hold objects ranging in size from a small pin to a standard-sized baseball. Able to move hands, fingers, and wrists in a free repetitive motion required to mix materials and accomplish other assigned tasks.
• Able to work with and around stone materials, chemicals (glue, separator, etc.), acrylic and water without allergic or other adverse physical reaction.
• Able to work overtime as necessary.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
