Position: Production Designer
Location: Phoenix, Arizona (On-site 16th Street & Northern)
Status: Exempt
Compensation: Competitive salary & official title (DOE), Health, Dental, Vision insurance, 3 weeks PTO, generous paid holiday schedule, hybrid work schedule with WFH Fridays, matching 401-k (after one year of service).
Education: BA in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or related field. Agency or client environment experience preferred.

PRIMARY ROLE:

A Production Designer at Defero doesn’t just move pixels — you bring creative concepts to life through precision and consistency. Your focus is on preparing, adapting, and delivering assets that meet exact specifications across a variety of platforms. You ensure that every file is production-ready, whether it’s digital, social, web, or print.

You’re highly detail-oriented, pixel-perfect, and thrive in making sure creative is consistent, accurate, and formatted correctly. You collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and developers to execute and deliver polished assets on time.

A strong command of Adobe Creative Suite is essential. You understand both digital and print production requirements and can confidently adapt designs into final deliverables. Production Designers at Defero often find themselves resizing and formatting creative for Social Media, Emails, Websites, Digital Ads, Print Materials, and more.

NECESSARY SKILLS:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and pixel-perfect execution.
  • Ability to adapt and resize creative across multiple platforms and specs (digital, social, web, print, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of production design principles including typography, layout, formatting, and file preparation.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; After Effects a plus) and Figma.
  • Knowledge of print production processes and digital asset requirements.
  • Ability to follow established brand guidelines while ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to take and give constructive criticism without ego or personal attachment, implement feedback efficiently, and collaborate with designers, project managers, and developers.
  • Preparing final press-ready and digital-ready files.
  • Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot production or formatting issues quickly.
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to ask for clarification.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) for cross-team collaboration.
  • Perform under pressure and a fast-paced work environment.
  • Meet deadlines, expectations and the highest quality assurance standards.
