Production Designer

Position Summary: This is an on-site position. Production Designers work with the gearUP sales team and their customers to prepare logos and review embellished garment designs for production. This is an operational role supporting sales and production in a high-volume environment. Art team members are very detail oriented with particular attention to design elements: including colors, design sizing, appropriate placement, and apparel or product functionality. They work with and manage multiple inbound requests and competing deadlines. This role will be cross trained in collateral areas of responsibility for the support of production teams and overall company success.

Responsibilities include:

· Receive, understand, and validate requests from Sales team

· Convert existing designs, from multiple formats into vectored art

· Ensure function and fit of requested design to specific garments

· Ensure that design requests meet company standards

· Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is sent out to the Sales team

· Communicate with sales team on best embellishment methods and materials

· Communicate with production team to fulfill customer embellishment requests

· Prepare gang sheets for production printing of logos

· Manage digital assets

· Support and assist in webstore deployment.

· Other tasks as assigned.

Required Skills, Qualifications & Education:

· Experience in high volume print production and/or like environment

· Proficient in Adobe Illustrator (Pen Tool) and Acrobat Pro

· Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines

· Attention to detail and accuracy

· Familiarity with other Creative Cloud tools a plus

· Basic working understanding of image resolution, file formats, compression, etc.

· Experience in vectoring art and working with vectored files

· Experience in data entry

· Ability to read and interpret order requests and other written instructions

· Strong time management and communication skills

· Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Excel, and Teams

· Work independently, and as part of a team. Energetic and motivated.

· ‘Can Do’ attitude and willingness to take on new tasks as requested

· Previous involvement in athletic programs a plus

· Experience using Wrike or other project management/productivity software a plus

· Experience with Webstore Build software such as Magento a plus

· Overtime will be required during peak production seasons

· High School Diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

· Talking, listening, and typing for extended periods of time

· Manipulation of computer mouse and other small wrist movements required for digital design tools

· Ability to see and distinguish colors.
