Production Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Production Engineer to join the manufacturing team for leading name in the wood and panel industry. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in wood/furniture/joinery manufacturing, with a focus on process optimization, quality control, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities in the wood manufacturing unit.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining strict product quality standards.
• Collaborate with design and planning teams to translate product drawings into efficient manufacturing processes.
• Optimize material usage to reduce waste and improve cost efficiency.
• Supervise machine operations (CNC, cutting, laminating, assembling, finishing).
• Implement and enforce health & safety standards in compliance with company policies.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and recommend improvements for productivity.
• Maintain accurate documentation for production output, machine performance, and quality checks.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and corrective equipment servicing.
• Train and guide production staff on SOPs, quality benchmarks, and safety procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in the wood, furniture, or joinery manufacturing industry .
• In-depth knowledge of wood types, finishes, and manufacturing techniques.
• Hands-on familiarity with CNC machines, cutting tools, assembly lines, and woodworking processes.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods.
• Excellent problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and production reporting tools .
