Key Responsibilities
You will be the technical anchor of our composites production floor, ensuring processes run smoothly, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Your core duties will include:
- Production Support & Troubleshooting: Act as the first point of contact for resolving urgent technical issues on the production line to minimize downtime and maintain flow.
- Process & Documentation Ownership: Develop, optimize, and maintain detailed Work Instructions and standard operating procedures for composite manufacturing processes (e.g., layup, curing, trimming).
- Quality Validation & Launch: Lead the implementation of key quality gateways, including First Article Inspection (FAI), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) for new parts and processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement improvements to manufacturing processes, cycle times, and costs while ensuring product quality. Perform risk analyses (e.g., PFMEA) and implement preventive actions.
- Tooling & Equipment Stewardship: Monitor the performance and condition of production tooling (molds, fixtures) and coordinate maintenance or modifications to ensure optimal performance.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Production, Quality, and HSE teams to achieve goals in safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost.
