Production Expeditor

The Production Expeditor is responsible for monitoring and accelerating the flow of materials, components, and documentation across various disciplines. This role ensures that all required items are delivered on time to support manufacturing schedules, minimize downtime, and meet customer delivery commitments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track and prioritize open orders, work orders, and material shortages to support production schedules.
  • Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and logistics teams to resolve delays.
  • Expedite critical parts and assemblies to prevent stoppages or missed deadlines.
  • Communicate status updates on high-priority items to internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Monitor supplier performance and follow up on late or at-risk deliveries.
  • Identify bottlenecks in the supply chain or production process and escalate as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace standards, documentation requirements, and traceability (e.g., certs, lot tracking)
  • Support inventory accuracy and material availability through coordination with warehouse personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records in ERP/MRP systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or supply chain operations
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing
  • Knowledge of standards such as AS9100
  • Understanding of export control requirements (e.g., ITAR - CUI)
  • Use production system and spreadsheets to create, maintain, and update the production schedule.
  • Experience with supplier management and logistics coordination reading and interpreting Bill of Materials (BoM)
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, BoMs, and project requirements to create routing for new products (preferred)

Work Environment

  • Combination of office and production floor interaction
  • Frequent coordination with internal department and external suppliers

  • Creativity and self-motivation to solve unique and complex technical problems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products including Windows 11, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written English skills.
  • U.S. citizen or resident status

Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
