- A Production Incharge manages daily manufacturing, overseeing staff, schedules, quality, and safety to meet output goals, involving resource allocation, troubleshooting, process improvement, and cross-departmental coordination to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant production. Key duties include leading teams, monitoring workflows, maintaining equipment, enforcing safety protocols, and reporting on performance metrics.
- Key Responsibilities
- Staff & Schedule Management: Supervise production teams, create work schedules, allocate resources, and provide training.
- Production Oversight: Monitor processes, adjust variables, ensure targets are met (quality, quantity, deadlines).
- Quality & Safety: Implement quality control, enforce health & safety regulations, conduct inspections, and manage compliance.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies, implement cost reductions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordination: Liaise with other departments (engineering, supply chain, sales) for smooth operations.
- Reporting: Prepare production reports, analyze data, and report on key metrics to management.
- Essential Skills & Qualifications Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks. Experience with ERP software and reporting tools.
