Production & Inventory Assistant

JOB OVERVIEW

Primarily responsible for inventory management and order picking. Direct reports to Operations Lead and Production Floor Supervisors. Provides immediate assistance to all areas in production. Assists in supply chain and quality control by processing work orders and inventory adjustments. Also assists products floor workers in completing urgent requests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use of a WMS+ handheld for the following tasks:

- Physical cycle counts of inventory and adjusting to the correct amount

- Pulling and scanning finished goods from the correct location

- Placing finished goods into a bin and closing out the sales order

- Receiving product and scanning into correct location

- Completing any cycle counting requests from purchasing/supervisors

- Transferring inventory between our 2 warehouses

- Use of ERP computer system application for tasks outlined above under WMS+ as well as other similar inventory and productions tasks

• Responsible for production of all labels at label making station.
• Boxing up correct product for stock orders.
• Print labels for products, shipping, bins, reorder magnets.
• Select blank label and install it into thermal printer.
• Select label number (sample) in database.
• Print labels using a thermal printer and deliver to correct assembly department.
• Maintains blank labels stock and reorders when needed.
• Cross verifies product matches, sales order, and labels.
• Creating magnets for assemblers.
• Assist in verifying inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
• Deliver or route materials to departments using hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins.
• Deliver, receive, and exchange any document requests from assembly departments.
• Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves on production floor.
• Collaborating with internal departments to locate missing packages, fix incorrect deliveries and replace products.
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
• Provide assistance to production floor supervisor as well as assistance and direction to production floor workers.
• Assistance with other production, purchasing and supply chain tasks as needed but not limited to above stated requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• 1+ years' experience working in a warehouse setting
• Computer skilled and 1+ years' experience with ERP and WMS systems
• Experience in record keeping, data entry, and stock management is a plus.
• Procurement and ERP software utilization knowledge base and skills
• Excellent attention to detail skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
