Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Inventory Coordinator to join our Inventory Team located in Boring, Oregon. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain production plans for all tree types and production stages, including bills of material, loss factors, and other required data.
- Coordinate internal transfers of inventory for future production and serve as a liaison between Production, Sales, and Shipping.
- Understand and support the process of plant and inventory movement from allocation through shipment of finished product.
- Work directly with Sales during the allocation process to ensure adequate sizes and quantities are dedicated to internal use.
- Track production progress and prepare reports for Production and Sales as needed.
- Track and analyze data for product cost estimates and assist with improving costing programs.
- Prepare forecast reports and inventory projections and provide support to inventory staff as needed.
Requirements:
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks under time constraints.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other standard office software programs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with multiple departments.
- Basic math, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work primarily indoors with periodic travel to production fields and exposure to varying weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree or coursework in horticulture, agriculture, business, supply chain, data analysis, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Three years of relevant experience preferred.
- Experience working in a farm, agricultural, nursery, or related production environment.
- Knowledge of ornamental tree production, inventory, and planning especially valued.
Work Hours:
Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; additional hours may be required during peak periods.
