The general purpose of the Production Inventory Worker is to support daily manufacturing operations by receiving, organizing, tracking, and issuing materials, components, and finished goods used in production. Work is completed under the direction and/or guidance of a shop foreman or supervisor to ensure accurate inventory levels and timely production flow.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and parts against packing slips and work orders.

  • Accurately stock, label, and organize inventory in designated storage locations.

  • Issue materials, components, and supplies to production personnel as required by work orders.

  • Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventories to maintain inventory accuracy.

  • Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, or shortages to supervision.

  • Use measuring tools to verify quantities, dimensions, and part numbers when necessary.

  • Maintain accurate documentation to support quality and production requirements.

  • Provide quality and timely support for each work order while meeting daily productivity standards.

  • Demonstrate the ability to follow established safety, quality, and company procedures.

  • Work in a team environment and be flexible to move between tasks to support production schedules.

  • Ability to cross train and perform multiple areas

Additional Responsibilities When Not Performing Inventory Duties:

The following additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor:

  • Assist other crew members or shop personnel as directed.

Required Qualifications for Production Inventory Worker:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Prior warehouse, inventory, or manufacturing experience preferred

  • Basic computer and data entry skills

  • Ability to read work orders and part labels

  • Ability to lift and move materials as required

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
