Production Level 10 Shift Lead
Area: Production 2nd Shift
Job Summary: Responsible for leading a group of individuals on a shift. Engaging the team members, assigning tasks, giving directions, providing knowledge and advice, and making sure team members comply with standards.

Essential Functions – Responsibilities
- Utilize Vinylmax values to maintain a high level of employee accountability.
- Manage Production Line Leads and Associates, including training and directing daily tasks.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and 5S practices.
- Lead and motivate a team of production workers to meet daily production goals, including workflow and preparation across multiple departments.
- Support interdepartmental coordination and communication between first and second shifts.
- Assist in the development and implementation of efficient production processes and procedures.
- Ensure all employees follow safe work practices and comply with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor production line performance, address disciplinary issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with departments such as Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve production issues and improve processes.
- Train and mentor production workers on best practices and new procedures.
- Prepare production reports and maintain accurate records of output and efficiency.
- Provide coverage for the Production Manager when needed.
- Evaluate team member job performance.
- Support operations in other production areas as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Associates or Technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and work experience, preferred.
Experience
- 3+ years in an automation or production leadership environment or related experience
- Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations, written communication, and reading comprehension, as these are essential for the successful completion of required paperwork and projects.
- Computer skills including all Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of machine practices and safety standards
- Window manufacturing experience a plus but not required.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency a plus

Work Environment & PPE
- Fast‑paced production environment; some areas may involve heat or working with sharp materials.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and handle large pieces of glass.
- Must be able to operate equipment such as saws, welders, drills, screw guns, punches, and end mills (training provided).
- Required PPE based on production line or task:
- Safety glasses
- Hearing protection
- Cut‑resistant gloves and sleeves
- Safety steel shoes, company will provide a voucher to purchase
- Physical Demands:
- Medium
- Occasional: 50 lbs
- Frequent: 20 lbs
- Constant: 10 lbs
Work Schedule
- 2nd shift Monday–Thursday: 3:30PM to 2:00AM
- Fridays: Overtime scheduled as needed.
