Creative Dining Services is seeking a skilled and motivated Production (Back-of-House) Manager to oversee culinary production for a high-quality dining program. This role supports menu execution, food quality, team leadership, and kitchen operations across a fast-paced environment.
The Production Manager plays a key role within the Dining Services Department, ensuring that all meals are properly prepared, seasoned, nutritious, and presented to company standards. This leader works collaboratively with the management team and actively supports the full dining operation while maintaining fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
Train, supervise, and support all kitchen staff.
Assist with hiring, scheduling, performance reviews, timekeeping, and coaching.
Coordinate and oversee all culinary production; support the Executive Chef where needed.
Select vendors, place food orders, and manage inventory responsibly.
Develop and select recipes; standardize menus to ensure consistent quality.
Forecast food usage and adjust production levels based on demand and budget guidelines.
Maintain organized and accurate production records.
Establish food presentation standards and quality expectations.
Participate in Food Committee meetings and menu planning.
Ensure all equipment is maintained and functioning properly.
Maintain a safe, sanitary kitchen and ensure compliance with the C.L.E.A.N.Works! program.
Build strong relationships with residents, clients, staff, and vendors.
Analyze production processes and recommend operational improvements as needed.
This role includes a blend of office tasks and hands-on kitchen work. The Production Manager must be able to:
Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Move inventory, products, carts, and equipment.
Work in hot, humid, or cold environments.
Work extended hours when business needs require it.
Minimum 3 years of food service leadership experience.
ServSafe Certification required.
Strong culinary knowledge, attention to detail, and a positive, professional attitude.
Ability to work cooperatively under pressure and represent Creative Dining Services with integrity.
Willingness to be hands-on within a high-quality hospitality operation.
