Production Manager Assembly Operations

Harloff Manufacturing Company is a leading player in the solar industry, specializing in the design and production of innovative solar racking parts. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lean Manufacturing Manager to join our team and lead the manufacturing and assembly operations. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in lean manufacturing principles, Gemba, Kaizen, 5S, and other major manufacturing methods.

Responsibilities:

• Lean Manufacturing Leadership: Take charge of implementing and driving lean manufacturing principles across the manufacturing floor to achieve operational excellence, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to streamline production processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity while maintaining the highest quality standards.
• Gemba and Kaizen: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by actively engaging with employees on the production floor (Gemba) and facilitating Kaizen events to encourage participation and generate ideas for improvement.
• 5S Implementation: Lead the deployment and sustenance of 5S methodologies to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient workplace, promoting safety and efficiency.
• Manufacturing Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and supply chain, to develop and execute manufacturing strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
• Production Planning and Scheduling: Oversee the production planning process to ensure efficient utilization of resources, on-time delivery, and the ability to meet customer demands.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to maintain strict quality control measures, adhere to ISO standards, and ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the manufacturing department and regularly monitor and analyze performance metrics, making data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
• Team Management: Lead, coach, and mentor a team of manufacturing professionals, fostering a positive and empowering work environment that encourages growth and professional development.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, fostering a safe work environment for all employees.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven track record in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong expertise in Gemba, Kaizen, 5S, and other major manufacturing methodologies.
• Experience in the solar industry or related manufacturing sectors is a plus.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and engage cross-functional teams.
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, ISO standards, and industry best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
