Production Manager (Blocks)

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing end-to-end production operations, including production planning, quality control, safety compliance, and operational efficiency. The role ensures optimal resource utilization, process improvement, cost management, and strong alignment with customer expectations. This position plays a key role in driving continuous improvement, maintaining regulatory compliance, and achieving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Production Planning

• Develop and implement production schedules.
• Coordinate resources and work closely with other departments for smooth operations.

Team Management

• Supervise production teams and provide necessary training.
• Monitor performance to achieve daily and monthly production targets.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce safety standards and conduct regular safety training.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory and company requirements.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify areas for process enhancement and implement best practices.
• Optimize production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Manage inventory of raw materials and finished products.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and support operational excellence.

Sustainability

• Promote recycling practices and reduce waste generation.
• Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and support sustainability programs.

Management Reporting

• Track production performance and prepare reports for senior management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to address issues and improve productivity.

Resource Management

• Allocate manpower, equipment, and materials effectively to meet production needs.
• Minimize waste and ensure optimal utilization of resources.

Team Leadership

• Communicate production objectives clearly to the team.
• Motivate, engage, and support team members.

Risk Management

• Identify potential risks related to safety, quality, or compliance and proactively mitigate them.

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related fields).

Professional Experience

• Minimum 12–15 years of experience in production operations, preferably within the cement products industry.
