Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager – Commercial Furniture to lead and manage our factory operations. The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling production processes to ensure timely delivery, quality standards, cost control, and team efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and control daily production schedules based on project requirements
• Manage end-to-end production of modular and commercial furniture including wood, metal, laminates, and hardware integration
• Monitor production output, quality, and efficiency to meet delivery timelines
• Ensure effective use of manpower, machines (CNC, edge banding, panel saws, etc.), and materials
• Coordinate closely with design, procurement, QA, and project execution teams
• Implement lean manufacturing practices to reduce wastage and improve productivity
• Maintain production documentation, MIS reports, and performance metrics
• Ensure adherence to safety, housekeeping, and statutory compliance at the factory
• Handle workforce planning, training, discipline, and performance management
• Support continuous improvement in processes, quality, and cost control

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of commercial furniture manufacturing processes
• Hands-on experience with CNC machines, modular panel furniture production, and assembly operations
• Excellent production planning and manpower management skills
• Knowledge of quality systems, material optimization, and cost control
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Ability to manage tight project timelines and multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in MS Excel, production reports, and ERP/MIS systems (preferred)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• Additional certifications in manufacturing, quality, or lean production will be an advantage

Experience

• 8–15 years of experience in commercial furniture / modular furniture manufacturing
• Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role in production
