Production Manager (Manufacturing)

The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes to ensure products are produced safely, efficiently, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The role oversees approx 40 production staff, equipment, materials, and scheduling while driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and fulfill production goals for the manufacturing team
• Prioritize daily production needs to ensure production schedule is fulfilled
• Identify and continually evaluate resource needs
• Evaluate equipment utilization and efficiency
• Ensure the work area is clean and safe by following all safety procedures and regulations
• Provide production updates to upper management and communicate issues that arise
• Partner with other departments including but not limited to manufacturing engineering and product engineering to improve process efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce manufacturing costs
• Ensure the continuity of processes across all work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Schedule preventive maintenance for equipment
• Conduct interviews and new hire onboarding
• Train employees on products and processes – retrain as needed
• Participate in the performance management process – provide employee coaching as needed.
• Attend training sessions regularly to continue professional growth and development

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work related experience
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, hydraulics preferred.
• Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
• Team focused and can create team buy-in
• Knowledge of JD Edwards is a plus
• Highly motivated, self-starter

Pay: From $68,000.00 per year
