We are currently seeking a Second Shift Shop Manager to lead and supervise our second-shift operations. This role is crucial in maintaining workflow, quality, and safety standards during off-hours while supporting company growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all second-shift shop floor operations, ensuring production targets and deadlines are met
• Supervise, schedule, and support welders, fabricators, and machine operators
• Monitor quality control to ensure products meet specifications and tolerances
• Enforce safety protocols and company policies; lead by example in maintaining a safe work environment
• Communicate with first-shift management to ensure smooth transition and workflow continuity
• Conduct shift meetings, assign tasks, and provide on-the-job training and coaching
• Troubleshoot production or equipment issues and coordinate maintenance as needed
• Track material usage, inventory levels, and report any shortages or reorders

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in metal fabrication or structural steel manufacturing (steel stair experience highly preferred)
• 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, fabrication tools, and shop safety procedures
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication specs
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Proven track record of leading teams and improving shop productivity
• Forklift certification and/or OSHA 10/30 certification a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
