Location: Bellisi Design, Inc. – North Hollywood, CA
Reports To: Director of Operations / Ownership
Compensation Range: $75,000 – $95,000 annually
FLSA: Exempt

What We're Looking For

Bellisi Design is seeking an experienced Shop Foreman / Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations, oversee shop personnel, coordinate production schedules, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and at the highest quality standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable operating machinery, reviewing shop drawings, troubleshooting production challenges, mentoring employees, and collaborating with Project Managers and Installation Teams to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

What You’ll Be DoingPrimary Responsibilities

Shop Leadership & Production

  • Manage daily shop operations, production schedules, manpower allocation, and workflow.
  • Oversee fabrication, assembly, machining, finishing, packaging, and delivery preparation.
  • Ensure projects are completed in accordance with shop drawings, quality standards, and project schedules.
  • Lead by example through active participation in shop operations while maintaining accountability for production performance.

CNC & Manufacturing Operations

  • Oversee CNC programming, machine utilization, tooling, maintenance, and production optimization.
  • Support hands-on fabrication, assembly, machining, and troubleshooting as needed to meet production goals.
  • Maintain equipment and tooling to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Train, mentor, and develop shop personnel in fabrication techniques, equipment operation, safety, and quality standards.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, workforce planning, and labor forecasting.
  • Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout the shop.

Materials, Quality & Safety

  • Monitor material usage, labor efficiency, and overall shop productivity.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment.

Project Coordination

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineering, Purchasing, and Installation teams to support successful project execution.
  • Communicate production status, scheduling impacts, and resource needs proactively.
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities to support installation schedules and project deadlines

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in custom millwork, cabinet manufacturing, architectural woodworking, or related industries.
  • 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of production scheduling and workflow management.
  • Experience reading and interpreting shop drawings and construction documents.
  • Knowledge of cabinet construction, millwork fabrication, and production sequencing.
  • Strong understanding of CNC manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with labor planning and production forecasting.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and hold teams accountable.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency includes email, scheduling software, and production tracking systems.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (Required).

Preferred But Not Required

  • Experience with Mosaic CNC software.
  • CAD/CAM programming experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Forklift Certification.
  • Experience within architectural millwork or commercial construction environments.

Exposure & Work Environment

  • Manufacturing and fabrication shop environment.
  • Exposure to woodworking equipment, CNC machinery, forklifts, power tools, and fabrication equipment, loud noises.
  • Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, reaching, and material handling.
  • Occasional exposure to dust, noise, adhesives, finishes, and construction materials.
  • Combination of office-based planning and active shop floor supervision.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required in designated work areas.
