Production Manual Machinist

We are looking for a skilled manual machinist or candidates willing to learn a new trade and join our GROWING TEAM. You will use your hands and equipment to do the job with great precision in addition to having good technical knowledge and possess great manual dexterity.

Previous experience with lathes and reading micrometers is preferred. CNC machining experience is NOT required. Applicant must be able to read instructions, manuals, drawings, schematics etc. The manual machinist should be able to produce quality work in a timely fashion.

We design and build new and remanufactured engines for all types of original equipment replacement, high performance, marine, industrial and racing applications. Manual Machinist Responsibilities

• Read and follow instructions and established procedures.
• Collect all materials and tools needed to complete the procedure.
• Use precision tools to measure and assist in the assembly of the engine using both power and manual tools.
• Recognize the correct orientation of complex components.
• Insure that all engine fasteners are tightened and torque to the correct value.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Keep records of production measurements, quantities and time.
• Report issues, malfunction or defective components.

Manual Machinist Requirements

• Proven experience as a manual machinist
• Ability in using tools (Micrometers, installation tools, torque wrenches, power tools) and test equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Good understanding of quality control procedures.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition.
• Able to stand on cement/ergonomic floors for 8 plus hours.
• Ability to lift and install engine components weighing 40 lbs repeatedly and 80 lbs occasionally.
• High school diploma or equivalent, technical degree is a plus.
