Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Planner to oversee the release of job tasks within our manufacturing operations. This role is essential to ensuring that production timelines are met, components are available when needed, and cross-functional teams are aligned. The ideal candidate will have experience in regulated manufacturing environments, strong planning skills, and a proactive approach to managing complex schedules.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate the release of manufacturing tasks based on production schedules, inventory levels, and customer delivery timelines.
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, and production teams to ensure timely execution of tasks related to system builds.
- Maintain and update task schedules in ERP systems, ensuring accuracy and visibility across departments.
- Monitor progress of scheduled tasks and adjust release dates to accommodate changes in resource availability, material delays, or technical issues.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify scheduling risks and coordinate cross functionally to implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal quality standards.
- Generate and present reports on task scheduling performance, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Work with other depts regarding parts quality, CIRs, and revision control.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 2+ years of experience in production planning and scheduling.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and ancillary planning tools (e.g., Smartsheet).
- Proficient with Microsoft suite tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
- Understanding of manufacturing processes in a custom project-based environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a regulated environment (e.g., FDA, ISO).
- Attention to detail and ability to focus on multiple priorities at the same time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $62,400.00 per year
