What You’ll Be Doing

As a Plant Operator, your primary responsibilities will include performing plant operation and maintenance in line with preventive maintenance schedules during your designated shift. This dual role requires ensuring seamless operations while upholding quality standards. You will collaborate with team members, oversee production processes, and promptly resolve any issues to sustain efficiency and precision.

Additionally, you will focus on maintaining a high level of attention to detail, fostering clear communication within the team, and skillfully managing multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities Are

  • Ensure the safe and cost-effective utilization of equipment while adhering to best maintenance practices.
  • Collaborate with team members during plant operations to maximize productivity and maintain quality control, with safety as the highest priority.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and operational activities in the daily shift log as assigned.
  • Respond promptly to any machinery breakdowns during plant operations to minimize downtime.
  • Demonstrate a strong awareness of health and safety legislation and always ensure compliance.
  • Interpret and apply knowledge of engineering drawings and principles effectively.
  • Operate and maintain the weighbridge system with proficiency and reliability.

What We’d Love For You To Have

We’re interested in you as a person—your attitude, behavior, and values. If you bring a willingness to learn what’s needed for the role, we’d love to connect with you! Experience in the following areas would be an advantage:

  • ITI Certificate Holder with a two-year certification in the Fitter trade from an Industrial Training Institute.
  • Hands-on experience in plant maintenance activities, preferably 5–8 years.
  • Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively in mining environments with varying weather conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols, including LOTOTO (Lockout/Tagout), Work at Height (W@H), and Hot Work, particularly in plant and quarry operations.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Knowledge of SAP systems for operational and maintenance tasks.
