We are looking for a Production Planner to join our team. The goal of a Production Planner at Wisk is to ensure that the autonomous aircraft build schedule is efficiently managed, material flow aligns with manufacturing milestones, and production targets are met on time. You will be part of the Manufacturing & Supply Chain team that orchestrates the flow of parts and assemblies from procurement through final assembly and flight readiness.

In this role you will;

You will be the critical link between Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing, ensuring alignment across the entire value stream. You will develop, maintain, and manage the integrated master production schedule (MPS) for aircraft and sub-system builds. Your responsibilities include analyzing inventory levels, demand forecasts, and capacity constraints to optimize the flow of material, minimizing bottlenecks and delays. You will utilize ERP/MRP and PLM systems to generate, track, and manage all production work orders, using BOMs, part data, and engineering drawings to ensure build accuracy. You will proactively identify potential supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain a continuous, predictable build process for our novel aircraft.

This is a hybrid work opportunity. At Wisk, this means working onsite at our Mountain View office 3 days per week with flexibility for the remainder of the days.

What you will do:

  • As part of the Manufacturing & Supply Chain organization, and deployed in an Integrated Operations team you will act as a Production Planner for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market.

  • You will take part in optimizing manufacturing workflow efficiency, inventory control, and work order management.

  • You will support the Assembly Technicians and Procurement teams in maintaining a clear, prioritized build list and securing timely component delivery.

  • You will help support problem solving activities related to schedule deviations caused by engineering changes, material shortages, or system non-conformances.

  • You will help coordinate the release of production work orders and assembly instructions based on materials readiness and schedule adherence.

  • You will take part in daily production meetings to review and align with all cross-functional stakeholders.

  • In some areas, you will be working closely with the Engineering Release and Quality Assurance teams and the expected outcomes of this collaboration is ensuring all released work complies with current design data and quality standards.

  • You will plan and execute the detailed scheduling of production lines and assembly cells.

  • As a Production Planner, you will help define the optimal inventory buffers, lead times, and relevant KPIs to measure production performance.

Requirements

  • Experience with project management/planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheets, Planisware)

  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing environments and build documentation (BOMs, drawings, work instructions, etc.).

  • Proficient with spreadsheets and data entry.

  • Strong attention to detail and task follow-through.

  • Ability to communicate clearly across departments.

Desired

  • Experience with R&D environments

  • Understanding of how to navigate and interpret engineering drawings.

  • Exposure to build schedule management.

  • Participation in process improvement or cross-functional projects

  • Able to provide relevant KPIs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay range the company expects to pay: $101,000 - $119,000 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
