JOB TITLE: Production Planner
DEPARTMENT: Production
REPORTING TO: Assistant Production Manager
JOB SUMMARY
This position will manage the scheduling and maintaining timelines of the production processes ensuring the meeting of agreed delivery timelines. He will also be responsible for managing material and equipment availability, scheduling production, monitoring and troubleshooting ensuring smooth processes.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Planning and Coordination: manage the planning, scheduling, and coordination of all production processes.
· Operational Oversight: evaluate raw materials and equipment to ensure continuous and smooth operations.
· Documentation and Job Cards: prepare detailed job cards including product dimensions, drawings, material grades, product weights, and cavity counts to facilitate production planning.
· Team Communication: coordinate directly with production foremen and supervisors to ensure a steady and efficient workflow.
· Cost Management: Monitoring the production process to ensure all operations remain within the agreed budgets.
· Reporting: Providing regular updates on production status and any associated issues to department heads.
· Inventory Control: Monitoring raw material availability and ensuring timely replenishment to prevent loss of man-hours.
· Process Improvement: Suggesting and implementing methods to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
· Disruption Management: Efficiently managing and minimizing production disruptions.
· Material Tracking: Maintaining and monitoring raw material consumption based on job card details on both a daily and monthly basis.
· Procurement: Managing arrangements as per the instructions of the Assistant Production Manager.
· Housekeeping: Monitoring the cleanliness of the production area, machines, and tools.
· Records Management: Maintaining daily attendance and overtime records.
· Reporting: Preparing and presenting production reports for all shifts to the Production Manager.
· Process Improvement: Driving continuous improvement in production capabilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education:
A diploma/Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, or a sector-specific discipline such as Mechanical or Production Engineering.
Experience:
Between 2 to 3 years of professional experience in a production or supervisory role, depending on the specific size and complexity of the facility.
Soft Skills:
Leadership & Management: Experienced in mentoring staff, scheduling, conflict resolution, and team motivation.
Problem-Solving: Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical and process bottlenecks to minimize downtime.
Communication & Negotiation: Proficient in coordinating across department, (Ie: logistics, maintenance, and management, procurement).
Adaptability: Flexible in managing supply chain disruptions and shifting client demands.
Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
