Overview
The Production Planner – Label Administrator plays a critical role in supporting daily manufacturing operations by coordinating production schedules, managing labeling and inventory systems, and ensuring accurate documentation across Production, Quality Control, and Accounting departments. This position supports supervisors and production teams by maintaining organized records, accurate data entry, and compliant labeling practices to ensure smooth, efficient, and traceable production processes.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Create and coordinate daily production schedules based on customer orders in Business Central
- Support production supervisors and floor teams to ensure schedules are executed accurately
- Print and distribute daily Pre-Shipment Review documents for RTE and Boxing departments
- Track production progress and adjust plans as needed to meet operational demands
Documentation & Paperwork Management
- Classify, file, and maintain daily production paperwork to ensure accurate hard-copy records
- Manage Quality Control documentation (AM & PM), including:
- Tumble Logs
- Poultry Cooler Logs
- Vegetable Cooler Logs
- Vegetable Wash Logs
- Manage Accounting department paperwork (AM & PM), including:
- Daily Lunch Logs
- WIP Inventory tracking (Raw, RTE, Boxing)
- Compile and review completed production paperwork, including:
- Production recipes and Raw-to-RTE documentation
- RTE Record Reviews
- Daily finished goods and boxing reports
Data Entry & Reporting
- Verify and enter production data into internal systems for all fresh and frozen finished products (Trader Joe’s, Target, frozen lines, etc.)
- Enter daily productivity data into:
- Pounds Produced reports (Fresh, Frozen, HPP)
- Kitchen productivity and Grilled Records
- Ensure all data entries are accurate, timely, and compliant with company standards
Labeling & Inventory Control
- Manage label inventory and ensure accurate product identification (barcodes, sizes, colors, LOT codes)
- Print and distribute LOT labels for Mezzanine and Spice Departments
- Process daily label requests, ensuring correct quantities and on-time printing (including Target sleeves)
- Perform daily Target sleeve inventory counts and report findings to the Purchasing department
- Prepare and send weekly label inventory reports every Monday to Purchasing and Management
- Manage label POs, receiving dates, and open dates, ensuring labels are available for production use
- Maintain labeling equipment by performing daily vacuuming and cleaning printer heads and rollers with alcohol wipes
Production Supplies Inventory
- Track daily usage of production supplies (oven gloves, tongs, grill tools, pens, markers, etc.)
- Conduct weekly inventory reports and communicate needs to the Purchasing department
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing administration, labeling, or inventory control
- Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
- Experience working with ERP systems (Business Central preferred)
- Familiarity with food production environments, labeling compliance, and quality control documentation is a plus

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
