Theorist has a combined subscribership of ~40M subscribers on YouTube and garners 120M+ views/month.
The Role
We’re looking for a Production & Post Coordinator to serve as the operational backbone of Theorist Media's content pipeline, ensuring projects move smoothly from concept through delivery. This role is responsible for project management, post-production coordination, setting up shoots, and cross-functional coordination across multiple teams.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, an excellent communicator, loves cameras and gear, and is proactive, with a passion for keeping projects on track and ensuring stakeholders have the information and resources they need to succeed.
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina (Onsite)
Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 9-5 Monday-Friday
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Follow content projects from ideation through pre-production, production, post-production, and final delivery, ensuring no details fall through the cracks.
- Build and maintain project schedules, timelines, and production calendars.
- Maintain project management systems, production trackers, and internal documentation.
- Communicate schedule changes, priorities, deadlines, and project updates to stakeholders.
Production Support
- Along with Associate producer, set up and oversee cameras, lighting, audio, and production equipment.
- Assist with production logistics, scheduling, and coordination as assigned.
- Develop and manage budgets for productions.
- Act as backup GTLive technician when Associate Producer is unavailable.
Post-Production Coordination
- Source, book, assign, and coordinate editors across active projects.
- Maintain visibility into upcoming projects and production schedules to proactively identify potential bottlenecks, resource constraints, and scheduling conflicts.
- Track edit rounds, review cycles, approvals, and feedback implementation.
- Ensure revisions are completed accurately and delivered on schedule.
Distribution Support
- Assist with content distribution and upload processes.
- Support production handoffs to post-production and distribution teams.
Branded Content Coordination
- Work with Associate Producer to ensure all internal teams receive all necessary assets, feedback, approvals, and information from brand partners.
- Track branded deliverables, review cycles, and approval deadlines.
Operational Support
- Provide assistance to team members experiencing equipment or operational issues.
- Coordinate with vendors, freelancers, and external partners as needed.
- Maintain production records, documentation, releases, and related materials.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in video production or post-production.
- Strong knowledge of production equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio systems.
- Experience managing projects across multiple stakeholders and departments.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Experience working with project management software and production tracking systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to identify problems proactively and drive projects toward resolution.
- Experience working with digital media, video production, or content creation workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coordinating post-production teams and freelance editors.
- Familiarity with YouTube and digital-first content production.
- Experience working with branded content and client-facing communications.
- Experience with content distribution platforms and publishing workflows.
- Familiarity with creator-focused, gaming, or entertainment content.
- Experience supporting production budgets and vendor coordination.
- Experience dealing with computer malfunctions and other IT issues.
- Comfortability with being on camera for lives, videos, socials in a support capacity as needed.
