Production Scheduler
Location: Steel Tube Manufacturing Facility
Department: Operations / Production
What You’ll Do:
✅ Build and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
✅ Coordinate production orders to maximize efficiency and meet customer deadlines
✅ Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as priorities change
✅ Partner with Sales, Purchasing, Production, and Leadership teams to keep operations aligned
✅ Manage raw material planning and expedite deliveries when needed
✅ Track inventory levels and help prevent material shortages
✅ Support customer commitments by providing accurate production and delivery information
✅ Analyze production data and help drive continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Experience in production scheduling, manufacturing planning, or supply chain operations
✔ Strong organizational and multitasking skills
✔ Ability to balance competing priorities in a dynamic environment
✔ Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
✔ Experience with ERP systems and production reporting preferred
✔ Manufacturing experience, preferably in steel or metal production, is a plus

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Embraces the 1 T.E.A.M culture.
· Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for all
manufacturing equipment and processing lines
· Schedule/Coordinate production orders to maximize equipment utilization,
minimize changeovers, and meet customer delivery requirements.
· Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as priorities change
· Partner with Sales, Purchasing, Production, and Leadership teams to keep
operations aligned
· Evaluate and implement schedule adjustments to accommodate customer requests and expedited orders.
· Communicate schedule changes effectively to Production, Sales, Purchasing, and Management teams.
· Manage raw material planning and expedite deliveries when needed
· Track inventory levels and help prevent material shortages
· Support customer commitments by providing accurate production and delivery
information
· Analyze production data and help drive continuous improvement
· Balance workload across departments to ensure efficient plant operations
· Respond promptly to sales inquiries regarding lead times, production capacity,
material availability, and order status.
· Assist with the creation, maintenance, and auditing of production jobs within the
ERP system.
· Verify production orders, routings, bill of materials, and job-related data for
accuracy.
· Audit completed jobs to ensure proper material consumption, labor reporting, and inventory transactions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records.
· Basic math skills, including add, subtract multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
· Strong verbal and written communication
· Able to operate standard office machinery (computer, phone, fax, copy machine, etc.)
· Sufficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
· Able to speak, read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, government regulations documents written in English.
· Requires meeting strict deadlines, work with others in a group or team, coordinating or leading others in accomplishing work activities, work with external customers or the public
Qualifications
· Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
· 3+ years of production scheduling, planning, purchasing, inventory control, or manufacturing operations experience preferred.
· Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
· Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Steel industry knowledge and experience, a plus

The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
