About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Production Specialist / CNC Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting production and fabrication processes while assisting with CNC programming and machine operation as needed.
This position is primarily focused on hands-on production work, including cutting, drilling, assembly, packaging, and material handling. The successful candidate will also support CNC programming, setup, and troubleshooting to help keep production running efficiently and on schedule.
You'll work closely with the production team to ensure materials are fabricated accurately, safely, and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate equipment and tools properly using required PPE
- Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to support team needs
- Cut, drill, assemble, package, and store architectural building materials
- Assist the production team in fabricating materials and completing customer orders
- Operate CNC equipment and assist with machine setup and programming
- Modify and troubleshoot CNC programs as needed to support production requirements
- Review fabrication drawings and production documents to ensure accuracy
- Ensure all products meet required quality standards through regular inspections and attention to detail
- Follow all safety regulations and maintain knowledge of proper safety protocols
- Identify and address potential hazards to maintain a safe working environment
- Recommend improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality
- Quickly notify supervisors of production or programming issues, equipment malfunctions, or delays
- Assist with organizing materials, inventory, and work areas
- Support other production activities as needed to maintain workflow and meet deadlines
Qualifications & Skills
- Manufacturing, fabrication, CNC operation, or construction-related experience preferred
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- CNC programming experience is a plus, but training may be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and production documents
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities without losing focus
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with Bluebeam, Revit, or CAD is beneficial
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted and stand for extended periods
Work Environment & Schedule
- Full-time position (40+ hours per week)
- Fast-paced manufacturing and fabrication environment
- Monday–Friday schedule
- Current production hours: Mon-Thurs 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM Fri: 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM (subject to change based on production needs)
- Onsite position (not remote)
