Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day flexographic printing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and delivery schedules are met. This role involves managing machine operators, coordinating workflow, minimizing downtime, and maintaining consistent print quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations

• Supervise flexo printing production activities to meet daily and monthly production targets
• Plan and allocate jobs to flexo printing machines based on schedules and priorities
• Monitor machine performance, setup times, and production efficiency
• Ensure timely changeovers, job setups, and approvals
• Reduce wastage, downtime, and rework

Quality Control

• Ensure print quality meets customer specifications (color, registration, ink density, substrates)
• Conduct regular quality checks during printing and finishing stages
• Coordinate with QC team to resolve quality issues and customer complaints
• Ensure adherence to ISO / GMP / customer quality standards (if applicable)

Team Management

• Supervise, train, and motivate flexo machine operators and helpers
• Assign duties and manage shift schedules, attendance, and overtime
• Conduct on-the-job training for new operators and skill upgrades
• Enforce discipline, safety rules, and company policies

Maintenance & Safety

• Coordinate with maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance
• Ensure proper handling and storage of inks, solvents, plates, and raw materials
• Maintain a safe and clean production environment
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations

Planning & Coordination

• Coordinate with planning, prepress, stores, and dispatch departments
• Track production reports, output, wastage, and machine utilization
• Communicate production status to management
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of flexographic printing machines (CI, Stack, Inline)
• Understanding of inks, substrates, anilox rolls, plates, and color matching
• Leadership and people-management skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Time management and multitasking
• Basic computer skills (production reports, ERP, Excel)

Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Printing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 5–10 years of experience in flexo printing, with supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of packaging printing (labels, films, paper, laminates) is an advantage

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
