Position Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the execution of all active remodeling and restoration projects from pre-construction through completion. This role ensures projects are built according to approved insurance scopes, company standards, timelines, and margin expectations.
The Production Supervisor serves as the operational leader in the field — supporting the Project Manager and Junior Project Manager by driving scheduling discipline, subcontractor accountability, material logistics, permit compliance, and on-site quality control.
This position is critical to delivering projects on time, within budget, and with exceptional customer satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Field Oversight
- Oversee active job production from start to completion.
- Conduct on-site project inspections at key milestones.
- Verify work aligns with approved insurance estimates and scope.
- Ensure workmanship meets company quality standards.
- Identify deficiencies early and coordinate corrective action.
- Support PM and Junior PM in field execution and trade coordination.
Call-Out: This role requires periodic on-site presence for job walks, inspections, quality checks, and trade alignment meetings.Scheduling & Trade Management
- Develop and manage master production schedules.
- Sequence trades properly to eliminate downtime between crews.
- Hold subcontractors accountable to committed timelines.
- Forecast resource needs and resolve conflicts proactively.
- Adjust schedules due to weather, supply chain, or labor impacts.
- Reduce idle days and increase production velocity.
Insurance Scope & Budget Alignment
- Review approved insurance estimates and scopes of work.
- Ensure field execution matches documented scope.
- Identify scope gaps or supplement opportunities.
- Communicate discrepancies to PM/management quickly.
- Protect project margin through disciplined scope control.
Materials & Logistics Management
- Oversee material ordering aligned with project schedule.
- Verify material specs match estimate allowances.
- Prevent material delays from impacting production.
- Manage supplier relationships and resolve shortages quickly.
- Coordinate deliveries to minimize job site congestion and rehandling.
Permits & Inspections
- Plan for required permits early in project lifecycle.
- Schedule inspections at correct construction milestones.
- Ensure compliance with local codes.
- Track approvals and resolve inspection failures quickly.
- Maintain documentation for internal records and closeout.
Customer & Communication Support
- Support PM with production-related homeowner communication.
- Provide timeline updates when schedule adjustments occur.
- Set realistic build expectations.
- Assist with resolving field-related concerns professionally.
Operational Leadership
- Track production metrics (cycle time, downtime, inspection pass rate).
- Provide job status updates to leadership weekly.
- Identify process bottlenecks and implement workflow improvements.
- Standardize production processes across projects.
- Assist in building repeatable systems as the company grows.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of residential remodeling or restoration production experience.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and vendors.
- Familiarity with insurance restoration preferred.
- Knowledge of permitting and inspections.
- Ability to read scopes, estimates, and construction documents.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
