Production Supervisor

Summary

Manage shift operations to ensure safe, efficient production of quality beverages while coordinating employee scheduling and monitoring batching, filling, and packaging. Lead by example through hands-on training, performance evaluations, and strict adherence to company policies and procedures. Oversee line changeovers, review operator reports, and complete end-of-shift reports documenting production performance, issues, and attendance. Respond to emergencies, promote a culture of safety, and communicate effectively with management and HR regarding any incidents or operational concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operations during a designated shift, ensuring the safe and efficient production of quality beverages.
  • Coordinate scheduling of production line employees and monitor batching, filling, and packaging operations.
  • Lead by example through maintaining high visibility on the production floor, providing hands-on training and following up with operators to ensure they are receiving adequate training for their machines, evaluating employee performance and providing recommendations for coaching and counseling, strictly enforcing all company policies and procedures, troubleshoot production line issues and direct maintenance when required.
  • Monitor production line change overs based on bottle size and packaging ensuring the correct raw materials, formats for packaging, and coding are utilized. Review daily operator reports for accuracy in tracking raw material usage/waste, quality assurance, sanitation, and other checklists as assigned.
  • Complete a daily end of shift report detailing any mechanical failures, bottles produced, employee attendance concerns, and other factors affecting the overall line efficiency.
  • Effectively respond to emergency situations, accident/injury, or employee issues and provide clear communication to upper management and human resources regarding the issue and any outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of safety and report any unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions or potential hazards immediately.
  • Maintain effective communication with coworkers, management, and supervisors.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by performing housekeeping complying with GMPs SQF HAACP, LOTO and general workplace safety standards
  • Must maintain accurate documentation that is legible, and organized
  • Must follow good manufacturing practices
  • Must ensure food safety and quality are maintained by following regulations and company guidelines
  • Participate in ongoing training related to job duties, safety, equipment operation, and product handling.
  • Perform other duties as directed by management

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • At least 5 years proven experience in food manufacturing
  • At least 2 years proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role

Education / Certificates

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged standing of 6 or more hours
  • Ability to perform repetitious work.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand up to 80% of shift.
  • Squatting, and pushing/pulling up to 30% of shift.
  • Twisting, grasping, reaching, turning, stooping, and lifting up to 80% of shift.
  • Repetitive Tasks and motions
  • Operation of pallet jacks and/or forklift operation

Work Environment:

  • Work areas consist of both indoor and outdoor warehouse setting, concrete flooring, moderate noise levels, and led lighting
  • Fast paced Automated machinery and equipment for processing and production
  • Warehouse is not climate controlled; temperatures very based on seasonal changes providing exposure to heat, cold, humidity and dust

Expected Hours: Variable shifts; production lines run 24 hours / 7 days a week and requires all employees to have open availability, including but not limited to working weekends, evenings, holidays.
