SUMMARY: Supervises production employees in a manufacturing environment, plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has direct supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree or equivalent, and /or five to seven years experience in injection molding and six months supervisory experience.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSES OR TRAINING: Must be able to obtain and maintain valid fork truck license and complete quality and SAP training.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Ability to perform simple tasks, such as typing a letter and using basic command such as setting tabs, opening and closing files, simple formulas. Prior experience with computer terminal and/or PC. Microsoft Office and e-mail.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, supervisors, and factory personnel.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
BEHAVIORS: Flexibility, attention to detail, creativity, developing, directing, and influencing others, communications, judgment, planning/organizing, team work, self confidence and initiative are required behaviors for this position.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee must: constantly stand, walk, talk, see and hear; frequently use arms, fingers and hands; and occasionally sit, climb, stoop, crawl, or kneel and lift up to 25 lbs. Repetitive motion tasks may include use of arms, hands and fingers. Vision requirements include: color vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in an environment of moderate to loud noise, constant exposure to dust, and occasional exposure to conditions of high heat, humidity, corrosives, and heights.
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
