Production Supervisor (Metal Division)

Job Title: Production Supervisor – Metal DivisionJob Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations within the Metal Division of our interior design and fit-out company. The role involves supervising fabrication activities, ensuring product quality, coordinating with design and project teams, and managing workflow to meet production deadlines. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of metal fabrication, joinery coordination, and interior fit-out requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Operations

• Supervise and manage day-to-day metal fabrication activities including cutting, welding, bending, grinding, and assembly.
• Ensure all products are fabricated according to shop drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements.
• Allocate work to technicians and fabricators based on skill level and production plans.
• Monitor workflow and ensure timely completion of production tasks.
• Coordinate with joinery, glass, and finishing departments to ensure smooth inter-departmental operations.

Quality Control

• Inspect fabricated metal components for accuracy, dimensions, weld quality, and finishing.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and company quality guidelines.
• Identify defects or non-conformities and implement corrective actions.

Team Management

• Supervise metal fabricators, welders, machine operators, and helpers.
• Provide technical guidance, on-the-job training, and support to the production team.
• Maintain discipline, safety awareness, and effective communication within the department.

Coordination

• Work closely with designers, AutoCAD draftsmen, and project managers to clarify details and resolve technical issues.
• Participate in design/technical meetings to provide input on fabrication feasibility.
• Communicate material shortages, delays, or production risks to management.

Material & Equipment Control

• Monitor inventory of raw materials such as stainless steel, MS, aluminum, brass, etc.
• Coordinate with the procurement team for timely supply of materials and consumables.
• Ensure proper utilization, maintenance, and safety of machines and tools (cutting machines, welding equipment, bending machines, etc.).

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily production reports, manpower allocation sheets, and material consumption logs.
• Ensure proper documentation of job orders, material issuance, and QC approvals.
• Support the production manager in preparing weekly and monthly performance reports.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in metal fabrication within interior fit-out, joinery, or construction industries.
• Strong understanding of metal materials (MS, SS, aluminum, brass) and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details.
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations within production environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in a fit-out workshop with custom metal elements (handrails, frames, cladding, brackets, decorative metal work, etc.).
• Familiarity with CNC machines, laser cutting, and metal finishing processes (powder coating, polishing).
• Basic computer skills for reporting and communication.

Work Environment

• Workshop-based role with regular coordination with project sites.
• Fast-paced environment with strict deadlines and custom-made production requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
