Production Technician
This position will be based in Kent, WA.

Firstar Dental is looking for a Production Technician who will serve as a point of contact for all technical aspects of our products including walking customers through the service and repair of the equipment we offer. A successful candidate will have prior experience working with customers to provide them clear and detailed information on how to resolve technical issues. This position will also be responsible for performing in house testing, troubleshooting, and basic repairs on equipment before they are sent out as part of our standard workflow.

Essential Duties:
- Provide technical service and maintenance support for customers out in the field. Virtually and over the phone. Some travel may be required to resolve issues at the site of installation.
- Conduct technical trainings for vendors and customers: Product demonstrations, Technical overviews, Troubleshooting and Repairs
- Perform Acceptance Test Procedures for products received from main production facility. Identify, troubleshoot, and repair issues encountered during testing.
- Provide technical support to production and order fulfillment team.
- Perform necessary modifications to products to fulfill custom orders.
- Facilitate warranty process by identifying root cause and replacement parts needed to rectify warranty issues.
- Track all warranty and quality issues in Firstar RMA process.
- Work with leadership and customer support team to address recurring issues encountered in the field.
- Keep records of defective parts and work with Operations Lead to appropriately disposition parts/assemblies.
- Assist in order fulfillment process, packing orders, etc.
- Develop understanding of mechanical, fluid, and electrical concepts and how they apply to our product function.
- Familiar with operation and function of chairs, lights, and deliveries.
- Verify technical documentation is correct and propose revisions and improvements.
- Develop internal technical standards, processes, and documentation.

Required Skills/Experience
- High school diploma AND a minimum of two years of experience servicing medical or dental equipment, or in a related technical service field.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, fluid, and electrical concepts
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment
- Valid Driver's License and ability to meet insurability requirements
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Windows based applications/software
- Extremely reliable and dependable
- Demonstrates good organizational skills and the ability to manage time and resources effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Evidence of managing relationships with clients and providing them with first class customer service
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
- Proficiency using basic hand tools and power tools for equipment maintenance and repair
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Previous experience in the dental equipment manufacturing, sales, and distribution industry
- Experience developing, conducting, and reporting test procedures and results
- Previous customer service or adjacent roles experience
- Warehouse operations experience
- Ability to operate a scissor lift, forklift, pallet jack, and other warehousing equipment
Physical Requirements:
- Routine walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, reaching, and twisting
- Must frequently lift/lower/carry/push/pull 1 to 55 pounds, occasionally lift/lower/carry/push/pull 56 to 100 pounds
- Position requires routine pushing, pulling, grasping and manual dexterity in the use of hands, arms and shoulders
- Able to work in tight spaces
- Ability to use hands to keyboard for customer orders and to look up inventory
