Job Title: Production Worker

SCOTTSBURG, INDIANA

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Starting Pay: $23.92/hour

Experience: 1 or more years experience in a manufacturing/production setting.

Qualifications: No FELONY convictions within the past 7 years.

Job Summary:

Production-related jobs in a steel fabrication manufacturing plant. Most jobs involve the production and assembly of cylindrical ammunition containers. Most entry-level positions are on the cylindrical ammunition containers assembly line. However, assignments may be made to other positions.

Duties / Responsibilities:

The following paragraphs contain general information about most of these jobs:

• Employees perform various container and cover assembly line duties such as leak testing, positioning on conveyer line, removing from conveyor, assembly of cover components, positioning on stenciler, affixing cover to container and loading onto trailer.
• Employees must follow detailed written instructions to operate various resistance welders at assigned station on container assembly line where location and type of weld is prescribed and adjustments and maintenance of machines are performed by others.
• Operate air press at station on assembly line to assist in container assembly. Follow detailed instructions as to method of loading parts into holding fixture and operating machine where some care is required to assure alignment of parts during pressing cycle. Adjustments and maintenance of machine performed by others.
• Operate rolling machine at station on assembly line to roll steel body blanks into cylinder form for subsequent welding operation. Follow detailed instructions to load and operate machine. Report material and machine trouble to Supervisor.
• Perform occasional pull test to check weld or check frequently by other means to assure welds are of top quality. Occasionally use file to perform dressing of weld tips as directed. Report machine and material troubles to Supervisor.
• Perform other departmental operations as assigned to aid in the maintenance of material flow. Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition. Observe all safety regulations. Must follow all safety procedures and processes established by the Company and/or required by OSHA standards.
• All other duties as assigned.
