Production Worker (with Shipping & Receiving Tasks)

We are looking for a valuable addition to our production staff as a production worker who will train & assist in shipping & receiving duties.

Responsibilities:

Production

• Perform production duties operating and loading one of our fabrication machines to help fulfill orders as needed, including: CNC turret press, CNC press brake, CNC mill, small & large presses, pemserter, rivet gun, shear
• Assist in other areas of production as needed including: Powder coating, deburring or polishing metal parts, assembling parts, assisting in various tasks involved in production
• Gather & empty scrap material from production staff multiple times a day
• Organize & move material & product around the shop
• Move, organize & record inventory sometimes on a weekly basis
• Other duties as assigned

Shipping & Receiving Tasks

• Weigh, count, package & ship products to customers, often preparing & prioritizing multiple shipments at once
• Unload, unpack, weigh, count & verify accuracy of all incoming merchandise & material
• Operate forklift, pallet jack & dolly to unload, load & move material around the shop
• May be asked to make local deliveries to customers & pick up material as need arises
• Create & send packing slips to customers & receive inventory into system
• Communicate via email & phone to coordinate shipments & pickups
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Willingness & desire to work in production & assist with shipping & receiving duties as needed
• Proficient at completing tasks & assignments by following specific instructions
• Willing to adapt & be flexible in learning how to package, ship & schedule shipments according to management’s instructions
• Calm & patient while completing tasks & working with management & following their instructions even when you disagree
• Able to prioritize, multitask & maintain accuracy & attention to detail in a fast paced, stressful environment
• A good communicator & will follow through and listen to specific instructions
• Comfortable using a computer to create packing slips & performing other administrative tasks
• Has an active driver's license
• Able to lift & move heavy items
• Knowledge & experience operating dolly, pallet jacks, and forklift or willingness & ability to learn
• Dependable & wants to work hard for our great company

Shift is:

Monday – Thursday from 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Friday – 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM (as needed)

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
