Professional Chauffeur (Part-Time / On-Call) – Class A w/ Passenger Endorsement or Class B

Silk Road Transportation is seeking a professional, reliable chauffeur to join our team. We provide black car service including wine tours, airport transfers (LAX, SBA), and special events throughout Santa Barbara County and surrounding areas.

We are looking for a candidate who is flexible, dependable, and takes pride in delivering a polished client experience. While many of our bookings are scheduled in advance, we also receive last-minute requests, so adaptability is key.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport clients to wineries, airports, and events
• Provide a professional, friendly, and high-quality customer experience
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness at all times
• Follow itineraries while adapting to client needs when necessary
• Assist passengers with boarding and luggage as needed
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience driving commercial vehicles (Sprinters, shuttle vans, party buses preferred)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Willingness to travel (Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, Los Angeles, and surrounding areas)
• Ability to work weekends and occasional short-notice assignments

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A license with passenger endorsement (14 passengers) OR Class B commercial license
• Clean driving record
• Previous chauffeur, shuttle, or commercial driving experience preferred
• Hospitality experience is a plus
• Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus

Compensation:

• Pay is per job based on vehicle type
• Base hourly pay + 10% guaranteed bonus on hourly rate of vehicle driven
• Average earnings:
• $26/hr (smaller vehicles)
• Up to $31/hr (larger vehicles)
• Additional gratuity often added based on level of service provided
