Professional Delivery Driver

PROFESSIONAL, EXPERIENCED PACKAGE DELIVERY DRIVERS NEEDED!

We are a contracted service provider for FedEx Ground servicing mid-Michigan. We are looking for dependable, highly motivated individuals that have a strong work ethic and enjoy a fast paced environment. Our company is a leader in Safety and Service. Drivers must conduct themselves professionally and courteously, and provide exceptional customer service.

At least 1 year of Commercial Driving experienced is highly preferred, with top pay commensurate with experience. Stepvan and Straight Truck experience brings you to the top of our list.

*** Our current schedule for New Drivers requires Saturday or Sunday availability (with a week day off).

DELIVERY DRIVER DUTIES:

• Report to the terminal prepared to examine and organize daily load before departure.
• Conduct Pre/Post trip van inspections daily.
• Operate company vehicles safely, securely and competently, abiding by all traffic and DOT regulations.
• Utilize navigation software and scanner to deliver and pick up all packages associated with the assigned route.
• Handle and maneuver packages of varying sizes and weights with minimal risk of damage to the package or injury to oneself or others.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 21 years of age
• 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred
• A valid Chauffeur’s License is required for this position. If you do not currently hold one, it can be obtained by completing a brief test at the Secretary of State office.
• Clean driving record - No suspensions/convictions for reckless, aggressive or careless endangerment driving offenses.
• Clean criminal record - No DUIs, felony convictions or violence/drug related misdemeanor convictions.
• Drug free workplace - Ability to pass initial and random drug screening including THC.
• Ability to pass MDOT (Michigan Dept. of Transportation) physical exam; any physical limitations preventing the capability to bend, carry and lift packages are not suitable for this position.
• Must be able to physically carry 75lbs and maneuver up to 150lbs (hand carts are provided)
