Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cosmetology and a flair for providing exceptional customer service. As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality hair services while ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for our clients.

Duties

• Provide a range of hair services including cutting, coloring, and styling to meet client needs.
• Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend appropriate styles and treatments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon, including tools and workstations.
• Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and client management.
• Assist with front desk duties, including greeting clients, answering phones, and managing bookings.
• Promote retail products and services through effective upselling techniques.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling, makeup application, and nail care to provide informed recommendations to clients.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive salon atmosphere.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of cosmetology principles and techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Proficiency in using salon software systems, particularly MINDBODY.
• Experience in store management or retail sales is a plus.
• Ability to perform makeup application and nail care services is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Upselling skills to effectively promote salon products and services.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology License

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
