What You’ll Do:

As a Professional Landscape Architect, you’ll lead and support a wide range of landscape design and land development projects throughout the Treasure Valley and beyond. From concept to construction, your work will blend functionality, creativity, and environmental sensitivity across commercial, residential development, and municipal projects. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, design, and development of landscape architecture projects for commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments
  • Prepare and review site plans, landscape designs, planting plans, irrigation plans, and construction documents
  • Oversee design from concept through permitting and construction, ensuring compliance with local ordinances and client objectives
  • Work closely with civil engineers, planners, surveyors, and other disciplines to deliver integrated site solutions
  • Coordinate with clients, municipal reviewers, and regulatory agencies throughout the design and approval process
  • Mentor junior staff and support the professional development of emerging landscape architects
  • Contribute to project scoping, proposals, budgets, and schedules
  • Stay informed on local codes, zoning regulations, and best practices in sustainable site design
  • Participate in community meetings and presentations when needed

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
  • Active Idaho licensure as a Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) required
  • 5+ years of professional experience with a strong portfolio of both commercial and residential projects in Idaho, preferably the Boise area
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Land F/X; experience with Civil 3D and GIS is a plus
  • Deep understanding of plant materials, irrigation systems, grading, and stormwater-sensitive site design
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
  • A collaborative mindset and passion for thoughtful, functional, and impactful landscape design

Pay: $68,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
