Professional Overnight Pet Sitter

Position Overview

As an Overnight Pet Care Specialist, you will stay in clients' homes and ensure pets receive attentive, consistent care throughout the night. This role requires strong observation skills, reliability, and the ability to follow detailed care instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight supervision and companionship for pets
• Follow feeding schedules and daily care routines
• Walk dogs and provide exercise as needed
• Clean litter boxes and maintain pet living areas
• Administer medications according to instructions
• Monitor pets for signs of illness, discomfort, or unusual behavior
• Keep clients informed with updates during service periods
• Maintain a clean, secure, and respectful environment in clients' homes

Assignments may vary from a single overnight stay to extended bookings.

Qualifications

• Previous experience caring for pets is preferred
• Comfortable caring for dogs, cats, and other household pets
• Able to safely handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Excellent reliability and time-management skills
• Comfortable working independently

Transportation & Availability

• Reliable transportation required
• Valid driver's license required
• Comfortable traveling throughout the local service area
• Able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as needed
• Available for ongoing assignments

Technology & Communication

• Smartphone required for scheduling, messaging, and service updates
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor

Additional Requirements

• Must pass a background screening
• Respect for client privacy and property is essential
• Ability to respond calmly and appropriately in unexpected situations
