Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC is seeking passionate individuals to join our team as independent contractors.

With Fur Babies Pet Sitting (FBPS), independent contractors are empowered to grow their income, reputation, and bookings while benefiting from the company’s support and resources. Success is built on the contractor’s entrepreneurial drive, combined with FBPS’s guidance, to establish themselves as trusted, skilled, and reliable pet care professionals in their community. We value growth and comfort. You’ll have the freedom to create your own schedule, set your own prices, pick your service offerings, and benefit from our comprehensive support. As a Pet Care Provider, you’re responsible for providing exceptional in-home pet care that supports our company standards, mission and business. All services take place at the Client's home.

Providers are paid per paid booking that they complete according to a tiered commission structure based on a 30 day revenue cycle. Revenue Definition: The total amount collected from clients before commissions are applied. It takes anywhere from 1-15 days to receive your payout after the Client pays the company based on the invoice the Provider creates with their personalized pricing. We have multiple electronic Client payment methods. Providers receive 100% of their individual tips earned after the company processes the Client payment. There are bonuses for maintaining certain tier levels. The commission structure is designed to reward growth and performance, allowing contractors to earn more as their revenue increases. There are 4 Revenue Tiers. You will learn more about this. The lowest tier is 70% per booking and the highest is 90% per booking.

This position begins as part-time (1-20 clients) for at least 3 months, with the potential for the Pet Care Provider to transition to full-time (21-60 clients).

As a Pet Care Provider, you’re responsible for the mental and physical well-being of the pets in your care. Our goal is to create a strong, personalized support system for pet sitters, pets and families in our community.

This position comes with no health benefits. It is an independent contractor position.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in pet sitting or animal care. Comfort with dogs, cats, exotic pets and farm animals. Ability to give oral medication to pets that need it (if safe to do so).

2. Certifications, Requirements & First Aid Kit: All Pet Care Providers must have completed & passed Fur Babies Pet Sitting Pet Care Provider Certification and the General Care Standards: Recommended Practices for Results, signed all required documents, submitted a background check, submitted proof of car insurance, submitted a copy of driver's license, submitted proof of the pet first aid kit, and waited until the insurance addition is effective, BEFORE offering services through Fur Babies Pet Sitting by Mikayla, LLC. A company approved first aid kit is a requirement and the financial responsibility of the Pet Care Provider.

3. A reliable phone, active phone plan, internet, and transportation.

4. Ability to handle emergencies with a cool head.

5. Understanding of animal needs, behavior and restraint techniques.

6. Motivation to do the best job possible.

7. Ability to communicate proactively, promptly, professionally and thoroughly.

8. Ability to learn & navigate new software, apps and websites.

9. Ability to read, write and comprehend information.

10. Ability to manage their own finances, track expenses, taxes, manage their time and schedule.

11. The company makes a significant investment into each Provider when they join and as we grow their schedule. We are only looking for Providers willing to stay with the company for a year or more!!!! This is not a fast cash job. Income is not guaranteed. Income is based on the paid for jobs the Provider completes.

12. Must be able to offer and service at least one type of full time pet sitting bookings. Multiple Drop In Visits per day (example AM, afternoon, and evening) and/or Overnight Housesitting (tailored care throughout the day & the Provider stays overnight).

Steps to Apply:

3. Phone call interview

4. Zoom interview

5. Review, sign and submit all required documents.

6. The company will review everything.

7. Final interview & discussion

8. Attend Zoom meetings and shadowing sessions to learn the ropes.

9. Complete the required certifications, prepare a first aid kit and wait for the business pet care insurance add on to become effective to the business plan. 1 month!

10. Begin servicing once all requirements are complete. The Provider is responsible for following the company standards they signed and to care for pets according to Client instructions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

~CLIENT ACQUISITION: FBPS provides leads to contractors, but true long-term success comes from harnessing those leads and completing the jobs.

~BUILDING TRUST IN THE COMMUNITY: Contractors are expected to build a reputation for reliability and quality care by:

  • Offering exceptional service and fostering positive client relationships.
  • Maintaining professionalism and dependability in every interaction.
  • Generating glowing reviews and referrals from satisfied clients.
  • Completing agreed upon bookings.

~OPERATING AS A SOLE PROPRIETOR: While FBPS supports contractors with resources, contractors are responsible for managing their operations, including:

  • Keep records of earnings and expenses for tax purposes.
  • Pricing, scheduling, invoicing and more.
  • Actively seek and secure bookings to maintain a steady workflow.

~COMPANY SUPPORT: FBPS offers a range of learning experiences to ensure contractors feel confident and prepared:

  • Zoom Meetings: Covering essential topics like pet care best practices and client communication.
  • In-Person Training: Hands-on sessions tailored to skill-building.
  • Tag-Along Sessions: Shadow seasoned contractors to gain practical insights.

~PET CARE BUSINESS INSURANCE AND RESOURCES

  • Comprehensive pet care business insurance protects both contractors and clients.
  • Coverage may include certain business-related incidents.
  • Coverage is limited and situation-dependent.
  • Providers are responsible for understanding their own risk exposure.
  • Providers are responsible for obtaining any additional insurance they deem necessary.
  • Tools like Precise Petcare simplify scheduling, client communication, and reporting.
