K9CareLBK – Pet Sitter / Dog Walker / Pet Care Specialist

Location: Lubbock, TX

Job Type: Part-Time / Contract (1099)

Pay: Varies based on services completed and availability

K9CareLBK is looking for dependable, compassionate, and self-motivated pet care professionals to join our growing team. We provide pet sitting, dog walking, boarding support, transportation, and in-home pet care throughout the Lubbock area.

This position is ideal for someone who:

• Loves animals and has experience caring for pets
• Is comfortable working independently
• Has a flexible schedule
• Is reliable, trustworthy, and communicates well
• Understands that pet care does not follow a typical 9–5 schedule

IMPORTANT SCHEDULE INFORMATION:

Most service demand falls within the following time blocks:

• Morning visits: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM
• Midday visits: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
• Evening visits: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Applicants MUST have availability during these peak care times.

HOLIDAYS ARE REQUIRED.

Pet care is busiest during holidays, weekends, and school breaks. Applicants must be willing and available to work holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Spring Break, and summer travel periods.

Responsibilities may include:

• Dog walking
• Drop-in pet visits
• Feeding and watering pets
• Medication administration (if trained/approved)
• Cleaning up pet waste/litter boxes
• Overnight pet sitting
• Basic home checks while clients are away
• Sending updates/photos to pet parents
• Assisting with boarding/daycare operations when needed

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Smartphone with reliable communication
• Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments
• Comfortable working outdoors in West Texas weather
• Ability to pass a background check
• Previous pet care, veterinary, kennel, daycare, or animal handling experience preferred
