The Opportunity

We’re looking for a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated Professional Pet Stylist/Groomer to join our top-tier team. You’ll be responsible for providing exceptional grooming services for both dogs and cats—delivering a polished, professional experience from check-in to handoff.

This is not a production shop or an entry-level role. You’ll be empowered to work at a pace that reflects safety, quality, and client satisfaction—with bathing support, premium tools, and consistent scheduling to back you up.

What You’ll Do

Grooming & Pet Handling

• Provide full grooming services including:
• Bathing, drying, brushing
• Breed-standard and custom haircuts
• Nail trimming and grinding, ear cleaning, gland expression
• De-shedding and coat restoration treatments
• Ensure all services align with high-end salon standards
• Bathe and safely handle cats (required); cat grooming is a strong plus
• Evaluate pet temperament, skin/coat condition, and adjust methods accordingly
• Maintain calm, low-stress handling throughout the grooming process
• Take before and after photos

Client Interaction

• Conduct professional client consultations at check-in
• Accurately translate client instructions into services
• Make grooming recommendations for coat maintenance and at-home care
• Ensure a polished and positive pickup experience
• Maintain accurate grooming notes in POS
• Talk about the Grooming Rewards Program
• Rebooking

Cleanliness & Team Support

• Keep your station and shared areas clean, stocked, and hair-free
• Sanitize grooming tools and surfaces between each pet
• Follow salon protocols for safety, hygiene, and product usage
• Assist or guide bathers and junior groomers as needed
• Participate in salon-wide cleaning rotations

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of professional grooming experience in a grooming salon
• Proficient in breed-specific trims, clipper work, hand-scissoring, and finishing
• Experience with cat bathing is required; cat grooming is a major plus
• Able to safely handle pets of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
• Highly consistent and polished in every step of the groom, from intake to delivery
• Strong attention to detail and client communication
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and stand for long periods
• Available weekends and holidays; tentatively Friday–Tuesday or Thursday–Monday schedule
• Portfolio and/or grooming demonstration required
